Jack Carnefix II
I’m Jack Carnefix II. I was born in Kingsville, Texas, and was lucky enough to travel around the country as the son of a Navy attack pilot, the original Jack, and amazing mom, Rose Marie.
I attended 10 schools in five states before graduating from C.E. Donart High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
I studied journalism at Oklahoma State and got my start writing for the Daily O’Collegian, which led to a long and winding career in sports media, public relations, and operations. I’ve worked in sports information, sports technology and in minor league baseball and hockey, indoor football, professional boxing and tennis, and professional bull riding with stops in Oklahoma, Iowa, Idaho, New Jersey and Colorado before returning to Oklahoma.
I have been lucky enough to have the support of my wife, Rashel, throughout my career and travels. We currently live in Perkins, Oklahoma, with our two dogs, Bentley and Maggie.
Since 2015, I’ve served as the operations manager at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater.

This site is just me finally writing down some of the stories people have told me I should share.
It’s not about name-dropping. It’s a look back at experiences that I have been lucky enough to be a part of and the amazing people who I have been lucky enough to meet along the way.
Most involve sports, but really, they’re about people.
